Gentlemen Collection: The Timeless Man

The timeless man is someone who is wild, free and adventurous yet still enigmatic and seductive. His subtle charm doesn’t scream out loud from his luxurious and overpriced collections of suits, watches and super cars, but irresistibly emanates from his delicate choices of perfumes.

The new Metascent’s gentlemen collection is inspired from the timelessness of sculptures. Regardless of which material is used, a sculpture artist brings out the shapes of reality from her individual expressions of unique perspectives and emotions. Civilizations rise and fall. But a timeless piece of sculpture stands resiliently through the test of time.

Like his complex personality, the Timeless Man was molded from an intricate set of resin, woody and herbal ingredients. From the ancient Australian Aboriginal Acacia trees to the mythical Mediterranean flowers of Broom, from fresh Oriental Cornmint to exotic Mesoamerican Balsam, three brand new scents bring out different aspects and intensities.

Shrine 

Opening with the rich spiciness of Black Pepper and a soft sensuous feeling of Cashmere, Shrine becomes more powerful with Tobacco and Acacia magical blend. Dry, smoky but very fresh and clean, Vetiver in the heart notes reveal the passionate character of the wearer.  Finally, the scent lasts on the skin with an exotic scent of labdanum, olibanum, a precious resin from Africa, mysterious and seductive.

*The Acacia plant, also known as gum arabic, originates in the region of Australia. It is esteemed as a sacred tree in the middle - East. The Acacia flower represents love, beauty, grace. Acacia wood is recorded in ancient texts to have been used in the building of the Ark of the Covenant and the sacred Tabernacle.

Wanderlust

Fresh, airy and earthy, this perfume is a go-to choice of wanderlusts just as its name.

The first sniff can detect a fresh blast of Cornmint from China and Paraguayan Petitgrain. Then like being in a summer field with orange flowers blossom, the fragrance of Neroli gently blends with Herbaceous Freesia makes the travelers stop and enjoy the joyful moments during their journey. At its base note, Peru Balsam and Leather keep the aromatic adventure going. Such subtle charms can only be felt by the wanderers.

Outlaw

Outlaw is the scent of freedom. Its top notes of Pinewood and green Persian herbs, start up your eventful trip amidst a misty Pine forest, finding yourself riding a bike to the middle of nowhere.  Along the way, you can smell the dry Vetiver, Cedarwood, Amyris, and the distinctive scent of Broom flower.

A touch of Civet makes Patchouli more wild and hippie. Broom, which is a masculine plant under the guardianship of Mars and is aided by the element of Air, is the adventurous spirit of this fragrance. On the other hand Wood Smoke makes it wild and irresistible calling.

*Galbanum is an aromatic gum resin and a product of certain umbelliferous Persian plant species in the genus Ferula, chiefly  Ferula Gummosa (synonym F. galbaniflua) and Ferula rubricaulis. Galbanum-yielding plants grow plentifully on the slopes of the mountain ranges of northern Iran.
